I started this blog in early 2011 at 285 pounds. I was obese, unhappy and couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. I started running, slowly at first, and in 2011 I completed two half marathons (6 days apart), a handful of 5k’s and the Warrior Dash. Sounded like a good idea at the time. Terrifying. Brandon had to get out halfway up and we left him behind at a gift shop. Heather drove the rest of the way. Chris drove us down. Jackie and heather burst into tears when we reached the summit and they went in the bathroom. </p> <p>It was amazing view but not something I would ever do again. Colorado needs to invest in more guard rails. She came downtown to run the Cotton Row 10k hill and we walked to Sandwich Farm afterwards. I got the roast beef.</p> <p>Brianna used to run Employee Relations at the last company (it was a large company). ER is like HR except you focus on firing people that do stupid things. I’m sure she would say it was more than just firing people but I think that was the part of the job she liked the best.</p> <p>Brianna’s a stay at home mom now and running her first 10k on Memorial Day. She also confessed that not only does she read my blog (I knew she did that) but that she also reads several other tumblr/fitblr blogs and feels like she knows them. So we had a discussion about tumblr people over lunch.</p> <p>She’s still not convinced about starting her own Tumblr.
