Home Improvement Project #1: Success
I have a high water table. When the pool was installed, the diggers hit water about a foot down. No problem, just install a sump pump under the pool. Except that it pumps a lot of water. Oceans a lot. The pool installers plumbed it to empty behind the fence in a drainage ditch. It fills up that ditch and floods out the neighbors at times.
So I have all this water, might as well put it to good use. I dug up the pipe, cut it and put in a T with cutoff valves. Now I can dump the excess water behind the fence, or use it for irrigation.
I had never done any work with PVC before I started this.
